Seacon again...

These mega shopping centres need a few day trips to take them in without the brain overloading. In spite of this I decided to brave it again in the afternoon, this time heading into the Tesco's supermarket. It's a supermarket, I figure, so I should be able to wander up and down the aisles until I find what I want. What I didn't count on was that it's a two story mega supermarket with forty checkouts. There was an entire aisle just for water and another entire aisle just for different types of long life milk. The nerves in my back choked on the earlier brain implosion and had a seizure. I found some cold drinks and took two bottles of coconut juice, a bottle of kiwi and lemongrass and a bottle of lychee. This is Thailand and so I had to have the exotic drinks. That came to a total of 63 baht which is uhmm... 2 dollars. What?!

However, the highlight of my night came as I exited the shopping centre at about 7:45pm at night. On the side of the road that separated the hotel from the shopping centre were two street vendors selling food. While some may be suspicious of hygiene and wary of catching a tummy bug, in four days time I would be taking medication that would intentionally give me diarrhoea so its no big loss if I had it a little early... One of the carts was selling sausages on a stick and I approached and shyly asked for one. As the vendor prepared it he and his two friends started talking and chuckling to each other.
"Beautiful", said one of them two me in his Thai English. I smiled back, too embarrassed to remember to say "Kop Kun Ka", Thank You. But, that just made my day.
